GALLERY EXHIBIT

gallery%2Bexhibit.jpg

In 2019 - through a grant from the Kentucky Foundation of Women we created a gallery exhibit out of the archive of photos and interviews gathered since 2013. The exhibit includes 20 framed photographs, printed text from interviews, and a listening station with selected audio excerpts. Jeff Garringer, printed and framed the photos by hand, and helped paint and be-glitter used upcycled frames from Goodwill. To bring the exhibit to your small town send us a message over on our “contact” page.

COLLABORATIONS

In 2021 - The Country Queers and Out in the Open teams invited community participants to join us in a collaborative adventure to produce Season 2 of the Country Queers podcast. Training in audio recording, interviewing, and consent were provided via zoom. Then community participants recorded interviews on their own, and worked with HB Lozito of OITO and the Country Queers podcast team to produce episodes.

In 2023 - Rae of Country Queers will team up with Out In The Open Staff again, to offer a week long, in person audio retreat for trans and nonbinary Vermonters from March 27-31st.
